Do you believe the above portrait of punk band
the Ramones is actually a painting? Well, that's
the guy sitting on the left painted this incredible
work of art...!
Back in 70s New York was full of artists like
Robert Mapplethorpe or Andy Warhol, who worked
very close to NY music scene; Curt Hoppe,
the guy in the above picture, was one of them.

One of his ongoing project is a series of portraits
of his fellow NY local artists, which you could see
on the top page of his website, and we heard that
illustrator John Holmstrom, also known as the founder
of PUNK Magazine, would be the next model!
Got to look forward to that!
John himself has numerous projects going on at the
moment besides being model for Curt; he said,
"Watch out! John Holmstrom's coming!".
