Surfin' Joey Ramone!
This photo shot by photographer Roberta Bayley in 1976 for "Mutant Monster Beach Party" on the PUNK Magazine no. 15.
The wave by Bruce Carleton made it look like he is really surfing!

MMBP was the second photo comic on PUNK, and there were many musicians and artists from NY downtown scene appeared on it, including Joey Ramone and Debbie Harry before they became famous,

John Holmstrom is telling a story on the latest entry on his blog, that this Surfin' Joey photo is one of the reasons for the PUNK new issue to come out.

Famous producer Andrew Watt, who is also producer for Iggy Pop's new album, is the big fan of 70s rock and punk; and a while back he contacted Roberta Bayley to purchase some of the photos from MMBP.

He mentioned about Iggy's new album that he was working on at the time, saying he wanted to make a booklet to go with the album.
And she suggested "Why don't you hire John Holmstrom? He's a great cartoonist!"
Watt contacted John immediately, and so the PUNK new issue was born.

"Andrew wanted some of the classic PUNK Magazine energy from Mutant Monster Beach Party! He wanted me to be sure to include Roberta Bayley and Bruce Carleton's work. He wanted me to include as many original contributors as possible!"

Iggy's new album would be on sale from January 6th 2023, and the set of the album and PUNK Magazine is still available (pre-order) on his website (https://store.iggypop.com/).
But since this would be the limited number, John is warning you that you might want to act fast!
