Happy Birthday John Holmstrom!

PUNK Magazine's John Holmstrom turned 70!
...In Tulsa, Oklahoma, where Sex Pistols played 45 years ago?!

That's right, on January 11th 1976, Sex Pistols played at Cains Ballroom in Tulsa, Oklahoma; and exactly 45 years later, a radio station hosted a live broadcast show at Cains, having John san as special guest at the site!
And 11th is his birthday; indeed he was at Cains 45 years ago to report the Pistols live performance, and photographer Roberta Bayley who was with him on their tour hosted a birthday party after Pistols show.
How cool to have another birthday after 45 years, at the same very spot with full of memories, and it is a historic place!

Talking about historic, John san describes the new issue of PUNK, #22 "the best issue ever"! And it is only available with the purchase of Iggy Pop's new album Every Loser,

The new issue was produced with PUNK contributors all-stars, like photographer Roberta Bayley we mentioned in previous entry, but photographer Godlis was also involved in the project!

The issue is all about Iggy and his new album, and Godlis contributed some of his Godlis Miami street photos to the page that introducing one of songs from the album, called New Atlantis.

Beautifully constructed page by illustrator Bruce Carlton also includes Tony Montana from the movie Scarface, which the story took place also in Miami. This is all because the song is about Iggy's love for "Miami", where he resides since 1990s!
On his Instagram, Godlis san is saying "So Psyched" that his photos were used.

He also posted some other pages there:
