Roberta, Godlis Punk photo exhibit, 4
Punk photo exhibit BLANK GENERATION is now being held in Vicenza, Italy.
Roberta and Godlis now safely back in New York; Godlis san sent some more nice photos and episodes, so we would like to share them here again.
First, about the exhibition:
"It was kind of controversial too have our punk rock photographs there, because all the other artwork in that palace was from the 1500’s! "
So it was the talk of the town, but looking at the above photo he sent us, we think the juxtaposition seems to be pretty effective with John Lydon, the Damned and the Renaissance style wall!
Godlis san also sent some shots of Vicenza:
"Piazza del Signore - the Shibuya of Vicenza. The big Palazzo there (designed by Palladio) is the Basilica Palladiana (with the clocktower)."
"The Mayor opened the roof of the Basilica Palladiana especially for us to walk around and view the city from above."
"After all our exhibition business was done, we took a day off in Venice,"
"we made a stop to get a personal tour of the Punk Rock Museum by Mario Panciera, who had driven in 3 hours from Slovenia to open the museum just for us. Wow!"
"and our hosts had rented a speed boat to ride us on the canals."

Hope you like our reports. Godlis san told us "It has been SO BUSY! " in the mail sent to us after the show opening and events, however, it seems everything paid off and looks like their Italian expedition has been very successful!
